Bioshock Infinite 10 Minute Gameplay Analysis

Props to you Irrational Games, because this was a spectacular move. Throughout the course of the ten minutes in this demo you give us a look at some of the new gameplay mechanics in Bioshock Infinite, how they are similar and different from the original Bioshock’s mechanics, the new scenery and situation, and possibly most importantly – a reassurance that Bioshock’s great storytelling will continue in this next installment without missing a beat. While watching we are treated to drastic scenery changes, awesome new game mechanics, and a glimpse of the new storyline that the game will feature as well as the unique way it is presented.

Now, the game isn’t coming out for around another year and a half, so releasing gameplay this soon can backfire on them. Yes, getting people interested in your game early is a good thing, but that also means that they have time to forget it and move on. In the case of Bioshock Infinite however, I am inclined to think that with the great impression they’ve made with this video release, it will be more than enough to keep gamers, long time fans or otherwise, waiting eagerly for more information on it’s release. Kudos to you Irrational Games’ Public Relations team, kudos to you.
